- Bathing, Dressing and Personal Hygiene – Great personal hygiene is important to health and wellbeing. Our Caregivers assist with bathing and lend a helping hand with dressing, grooming, oral hygiene, and more.
- Walking and Mobility – Regular movement is essential to maintaining good health in older adults. Our Caregivers assist with walking around outside or inside the home and moving from room to room to engage in activities. Our Caregivers continuously monitor your loved one when they are moving to ensure safety. We consider each clients capacity to walk, climb stairs or other routine movement capabilities.
- Transfer and Posture Care – Transfer assistance consists of moving from one sitting or lying position to another. Caregivers assist clients into a standing position and/or repositioning to promote circulation and prevent skin breakdown. They also assist with transferring a client in and out of a vehicle. Our Caregivers also ensure that our clients maintain proper posture while sitting to eat, read or while watching television.
- Continence and Toileting Care – It’s common for people to have difficulties using the toilet as they get older. Our Caregivers are trained in continence and toileting care and understand how important this is for one’s comfort, self-esteem, and social life. Our Caregivers assist with bowel and bladder problems. They assist with cleanup and accidents in a non-invasive manner and help keep clients clean and free from sores. A caregiver can assist with diaper application, and disposable barrier pads.
- Eating Assistance – Our caregivers help with basic eating and drinking functions while also ensuring mealtimes are safe and comfortable.
- Companionship – Our Caregivers can share a conversation, engage in a friendly card game, serve as a friend, and help older adults stay socially connected.
- Homemaker Services – It can be difficult for older adults to keep up with cleaning and organizing their home. Our caregivers assist with taking care of household activities such as cleaning, laundry services, grocery shopping, putting groceries away, organizing bills, mail, and other important tasks.
- Meal Preparation – Nutrition is the foundation for overall health and wellness, yet some seniors fail to eat a proper diet. Our caregivers can prepare meals that provide sufficient nutrition and add joy and comfort to someone’s day.
- Transportation Assistance – Our caregivers assist with running errands, assistance to and from appointments, dry cleaning pick up and drop off, social events, family functions and outings. Transportation is important in keeping the clients active, independent, and connected to their loved ones.
- Medication Reminders – Taking medicine as prescribed is essential to overall health and wellness. Companion care includes regular reminders to ensure medications are taken properly and on time.
